May 13-22, 2022: a week full of actions in a city full of life
There's a lot going on in our city.
Many people are building a city that is different, that makes more room for the people who live there. A city with streets that belong to everyone, no matter what color or age you are. Safe streets, that are bustling with life, where cyclists and pedestrians get the place they deserve. Streets where everyone can feel welcome.

'Welcome to the Street' is an initiative of Right to Air.
What keeps you awake at night?
How do you want life in this city to improve?
Climax, Fundamental right and Ineos Will Fall are concerned about the polluting port.
Many people work in the port and earn their living there. How do you keep people and the environment in balance?
We bundle the stories of three concrete projects:
- In 2019, Antwerp Shale Gas Free and Climaxi brought the problem of plastic nurdles to attention. Our banks are full of plastic nurdles. What is Port of Antwerp, the Flemish government and the companies doing to clean up and prevent the pollution?
- In 2019, the resistance against the arrival of the new ethane cracker of Ineos also started. With 'Project One' Ineos wants to make ethylene and other intermediate products for plastics based on shale gas. Ineos Will Fall is the action group that closely follows the project and takes actions to draw attention to it.
- Grondrecht is the action group of residents of Zwijndrecht and Linkeroever. We started our fight against 3M in the summer of 2021. The company that produces PFAS and ensured that our gardens and living environment are polluted with these 'forever chemicals'.
Curious about how we tackle these issues?
