PFAS: TFA concentrations in Brussels residents' water exceed future European standard

The situation surrounding TFA (trifluoroacetic acid), a type of PFAS (poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances), in Brussels drinking water is raising growing concerns. Recent analyses by Vivaqua show that concentrations of this 'eternal pollutant' are structurally present in all six drinking water reservoirs serving Brussels and almost all exceed the future European guideline of 500 ng/L.
