A more than successful information evening about PFOS and PFAS, with interesting interaction between the experts and panel members.

After the introduction of Carolien Van der Cruyssen of Zwijndrecht Healthy gave a spicy overview of the PFOS history, Ground Judge Sascha Reunes. After this, the experts delved deeper into the subject.

Professor Jacob De Boer (renowned toxicologist and specialist in chemical soil contamination at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) knows how to perfectly place PFOS and related PFASs in our living environment.

Laurens De Brucker (environmental and energy lawyer and PhD researcher at KU Leuven) examined the scientifically supported findings and compared them with the legal options for the victims.

Environmental activist and whistleblower Thomas Goorden related the whole thing to the current situation on the ground with an impressive knowledge of the file.

Steven Vervaet, alderman for the environment in Zwijndrecht, tested the findings against the measures taken by the municipal authorities and the possibilities for the future.
