The Antwerp provincial executive granted a new environmental permit to 3M almost a year ago. The chemical company was not hindered in any way from expanding and dumping additional PFAS in the Scheldt. Earlier this week, a number of members of the citizen collective Grondrecht, together with environmental activist and whistleblower in the PFOS affair Thomas Goorden and Greenpeace, filed the claim.
