Barely two kilometres from the 3M chemical factory, a new Antwerp city district is being built. To achieve this, the Antwerp council of mayor Bart De Wever (N-VA) wants to adjust the existing building conditions for the 21.5 hectare area, tailored to project developer Ghelamco. In 2017, Lantis found very high concentrations of PFAS along the project area. M was transferred to them in full by the chairman of Lantis.
