Our first PFAS forum is over. We look back enthusiastically on a very pleasant, educational afternoon in the Blikfabriek.
After a word of welcome by our Eva, the attendees were divided into groups to participate in the various working groups.
In working group science gave professor Jacob de Boer (Free University of Amsterdam) and professor Lieven Bervoets (University of Antwerp) explanation of the PFAS problem in the field of health.
In working group legal our lawyer Audrey Baeyens (VUB) the legal path taken by Grondrecht, while Isabelle Larmuseau (KUL) provided an overview of environmental legislation in general and applied it to the PFAS issues surrounding 3M and the Oosterweel project.
In working group actions gave Nele Coen (Ineos Will Fall) and Katrin Van den Troost (Climaxi vzw) a plan of action for targeted citizen actions.
After the theory there was time for networking, which often resulted in very intense and pleasant conversations.
Below you will find the presentations from the respective experts. At the very bottom you will get a atmosphere picture with photos.
